Thanks for the advise, once again really helpful!
I would not get through half of that lol, but it's good in the fact I could alter it to suit my level of fitness
One question that I have always wanted to know was in regards to reducing body fat, is it purely down to keeping a good diet and training.
Do boxers train everyday?
Cheers.

I do a muscle building split routine 12 week sessions at a time which emphasizes heavy compound lifts and some body resistance training.
I used to do a full body workout but if you are trying to build muscle for the most part you only should hit muscle groups hard once a week maybe twice.
The thing is training breaks muscle down not build muscle up but the good news is the body repairs the broken down muscle better than it was before which means you are stronger which is why your training sessions need to progressively be harder.
If you train the same muscle groups before they are repaired you are constantly breaking them down which is counter productive, this is all if we are talking about building muscle mass though......boxers are endurance athletes.

I do enjoy weights but I have 3 kids, bills, rent etc etc so no spare money to join a gym so I do all my training in the back yard skipping, bag, kettle bell and bodyweight.
Funny enough my 17 old son wants to start lifting weights.

I agree, I enjoy what I do with the kit I have. Like you said though creativity is the key which sometimes gets difficult trying to think of a new routine etc.
At the end of the day so long as I enjoy it I suppose that's all that matters really.

Train twice a day, 6 days a week that's really tough!
I don't think my bones at my age could handle that
If I can get to my goal I will happy and the most important thing is to stay injury free.
