    Perhaps someone can explain this

I exercise frequently and every now and again, I'm forced to take seven days off to rest as my body wears out.

However, every single time I take a week off from exercise, the next week when I'm ready to start up again I get a cold which prevents me from exercising sufficiently, so I more or less lose another week. And for those who say to "sweat the cold out", whenever I do that, I don't get better. I actually get sicker.

Which one of you turds can provide a possible answer? Why could/would someone get sick after losing a full week of exercise?

How often do you take rest weeks?
    Describe your workouts.
    Describe diet on rest week.

Rest weeks I take I guess once every 3, 4 or 5 months, but thing is in that time, there will be plenty of weeks that I get all screwed up and I can't get very effective exercise. Rest weeks are a full 7 days were I do nothing.

Workouts are weights, running on the treadmill, stair stepper, abs, heavy bag and jumprope.

On rest weeks I tend to eat less because I'm not as hungry.

How hard do you work out? Do you take a lot of short 1 or 2 min rest breaks within your workout ?

It's because your body craves alcohol, silly ****.

You are probably overtraining, taking a week off after overtraining for 3 weeks isn't going to save you from the negative effects. You should give yourself more rest throughout the month instead of trying to do it all at once.

Also, tell me which foods you eat.

What do you mean by "screwed up"?

After answers to these questions, I'll give possible solutions.

You are slightly older than me and I take a week rest after every single 10-12 week program I complete. The only possible scenario I can come up with because I don't know your medical history is that a full 4-5 months without an extended rest is over training for you at your stage. It would be overtraining for me as well and I am 29, you can get away with ****** stuff like that when your 18 and think the more you train the better your gains will be but this is wrong and leads to muscle breakdown and no gains.

you're just lazy, if you work through the cold (which any real man would) then you don't lose anything to speak of. but you're obviously too weak of a man to overcome a mere cold.

stay typing on your computer all day and leave the working out to the real men. LOL
