The manga Hajime no Ippo has a mass of techniques real and fictional so my question is this ''tracing jab'' real,just rooted in fiction,or exaggerated to something it isn't?






It's stated in story that this punch requires a real strong wrist so if its possible to do this how would I strengthen my wrist

i suppose you'd need a strong wrist since your wrist will be wanting to bend towards your dorsal as you'll be bringing your arm towards yourself, for the left hook atleast, unless you turn over that punch the whole way, a move best used with a backhand follow-up though

get some dumbells and do some wrist curls and squeeze stuff, what seems to work well for me for wrist strenght is dumbells and turning on them violently(like im turning over a punch), dunno how great it is, but my wrists feel great and strong after that
