Trainer tells me I can't fight higher then 140 because i'm too small for 152 or higher, i'm 145 and close to 6'2 and 16 years old. I told him I want a better challenge because I feel as if I'm a bully in the other divisions as most of the guys im sparring with are 5'5-5'7 and weigh 125lbs. It's just not right imo, idk who to actually listen to because it makes me confused in a lot of ways. I gained almost 20lbs in almost 4 months of training. I don't see a huge problem with it, but then again i'm confused about it. Any kind of help and I'd appreciate it.

Lord! If you are 6 ft 2, you can fight any weight up to heavyweight!
Obviously at the moment you must be very slender at 145Lbs at that height, but you are only 16. I started working with weights at 16, but many trainers would recommend waiting till 18.
I'm positive that with your natural filling out and incorporating some good bodyweight exercises like pressups and chin ups.....if not a bit of weight training, you'd surely reach somewhere between 154-168Lbs as a good fight weight before you are say 21.
Its very rare to find a strong 6 ft 2 light welterweight. It does happen though!

Listen to your trainer.
If you're already 145lbs without trying to cut, you sound like a natural light welter to me.
I'm 6' tall and I fight at light welter, typically a week out from fighting I weigh around 148-152lbs.
You want every advantage you can get. You'll naturally fill out and become bigger as you age, when that happens you'll move up. As a boxer you shouldn't be looking to gain weight. If that's what you want, I suggest you find a different sport.

If you can maintain a lower weight and have that height advantage, why not take advantage of it? I'm 6'3" and boxed from 156 to 178. I walk around at 188, 27 years later, and the one time I bulked up to 206 I felt like a slug. You may not be built to carry HW pounds, even if you did get that heavy.
Keep training and let your body grow into itself. Don't force it.

Do what your body feels comfortable with but if your trainer is telling you 1 thing then more then likely, he knows what he's talking about. 152lb in amateur is a huge step up. I think since you're new, he's trying to look out for your best interest.
