    Is this a sign of a good gym?

    My gym is a renowned gym in st louis mo my coach has trained leon spinks and many many other pro fighters and golden glove national champions of 2006 and 2007

    But we dont hit the pads at all we spar hard everyday hit the heavy bag 6 rounds

    jump rope 6 rounds

    shadow box 6 rounds

    spar 6 rounds

    hes always crituqing yelling pushing you to the limit.


    What do you guys think this sound like a good gym compared to others are what?

      well padwork is pretty valuable and important but if your coach has trained golden gloves winners and several pros then i'd trust him, its still a pretty good routine you got there, sparring hard is important

        hes been trainging people over 40 years plus to join the gym its only 35 a year.

            If I dont lift weights will my punching power decrese?

            cause my coach dont want me lifting.

              punching power comes from technique. Some of the hardest punchers in the world dont lift weights so no it will not decrease.

                maybe hes too old to do padwork lol.. 6 rounds of sparring sounds good
