    Taking A Punch

i sparred for my first time yesterday and it was my first time getting hit in years and i wondered if head ringing is normal. its was just an annoying light feeling in my head like liquid and ****. it was more annoying than anything. its was a light hazy feeling. i think people call it ''ringing'' i wondered if this is normal and when will i get used to it. also what can i do about it in the future to avoid it. i got hit with a solid hook ducking and thats when it happened. its more annoying than anything tho. how can i prevent it and stop it from happening again. ice?

People say you'll never improve your chin, but thats bs IMO. If people honestly think that I could take the same ammount of punishment right now than if I was boxing all my life as a pro against the likes of ricky hatton etc, then its ******.

you can't improve your chin. it is a fact. What you can do is neck exercises to make your head more stable and it will help absord the impact of blows too. That would be the closest thing. The actual chin, is well..... a chin!

A doctor can diagnose it, but he has described the symptoms of a mild concussion. If DJ persists in getting hit like that he will eventually incur neurological damage. When I carp on about chin down, guard up, and move your head, it is for a reason. Boxing is a dangerous sport and you can get hurt.

ive had a concussion before this definetly wasnt it. it wore off after i took a nap lol. it was over the next day. but ive had a concussion before and it was a hazy feelin where i couldnt even stand up straight all the way. this was just from me getting hit and i havent been hit in a while. what do you mean if i keep getting hit i will face brain damage? ive only sparred once in my life and i havent faced years and years of boxing punishment. that **** usually happened afte rlike 20 years of boxing and ****. i just started. the feeling wasnt that heavy i think i said ''it was more annoying than anything''
