I cant think of a specific number right now, though im working my arms tomorrow so i'll check then.
Its worth keeping in mind that for strong arms you need to focus on your tricep as much as, if not more, than your bicep. It accounts for 2/3rds of the mass of your upper arm after all ..
when i was 16 i was curling a max of 130 pounds..but i was lifting for quite a while to get there..now i cut down alot, almost all of my routines are circuit training which ill use about 35 lbs and do 30 reps each arm, different days ill do different types/hammer/reverse..seated..so on
curls are the easiest thing to improve on it feels like every week i can do 5-10 more pounds
if your just starting to work out then yea your body is in shock and you get those almighty beginner gains..and if your eating right you pack it on even faster =D

Nah I didnt mean that literally i just meant it seems like biceps and triceps are the easiest things to gain on, not every week maybe every 3 or 4 weeks i go up in weight on curls
Almost every weight lifting exercise that can be done involve arms in some way so they get more workouts then any other muscle
