SUPPORT - how prone are you to twisting your ankle?
COMFORT - they need to feel good to wear and fit your foot shape
MOVEMENT - they need to allow you to move around in the way you want to box, eg. light and thin soles so you can feel the ground
GRIP - depending on what kind of boxer you are, you will need a different grip, but most boots seem to have a smooth base. mine are wrestling boots and aren't great for twisting into hooks but awesome for launching into jabs etc.
DESIGN - make sure they have a place to tuck the laces up so you don't trip over and that they are durable and stuff.
