Im in agreement with everyone here on those basic punches--however, I'd concentrate on my FOOTWORK first as far as the fundamentals. Learn how to position your feet first to throw punches. Yes, knowing how to throw the jab, 1-2 and the hook should be basics you learn early. But learn how to move your feet first. Dont even throw a punch just MOVE only! All around the ring. Then, the next round move and throw the jab or hook. You should concentrate on ALWAYS being on BALANCE because that's the KEY to punching fast and HARD--the FEET'S POSITION (the hands get all the hype but it's the FEET/FEET WORK which deserve the praise!).
May you continue to work, learn and be successful with your boxing.

having good or at least decent grammer makes you sound more intelligent. you can get more intelligent replies that way.
to rant for a second/ i don't mind short cutting the english language. i do it sometimes. however, it is one of my pet peeves.
but honestly, it sounds and looks like **** if it is used every other word. i could not tell if i were replying to a 12 year old kid or a 25 year old elementary school drop out.
no disrespect intended - just trying to help you out. writing with too many shortcuts leaves me not knowing quite how to respond for the reasons above.
end rant\
first, you want to push people off with either your forearm or fist. not quite sure how you are working in an elbow, but that could lead to some warnings from the ref.
you have the right idea as far as i can tell from your attitude. you definitely should strive to win. just going in there to try to survive can get you hurt. in the few unofficial bouts i have had, i felt that feeling/believing that you already have beaten the opponent helps quite a bit in sport fighting. it helps you relax mentally so you can react quicker and more naturally with less uneasiness.
and there is nothing that can replace solid fundamentals. if you think you have them down well enough, then it is time to practice them harder.
