The USA is becoming more fractured as a society so expect this trend to continue. Of course, in ring performance shuts up the critics but that is a promotional issue - not enough quality matchups made often enough.

I don't see many people criticizing Crawford though. I didn't like how he fought Postol but that is a style thing for me. You can't argue with his record this year.
I will respectfully disagree. Of course, there are splits between two British fighters. However, would the people who support Khan over Brook root for Spence if Brook-Spence happens (I know this is worded weirdly but I couldn't figure out a better way of cleaning it up)? Probably not. AJ vs. Wilder? They will support AJ in a large majority. Will Americans support Wilder? There will be more of a split. Look at Jacobs vs GGG. And don't even get me started on a Ward-Kov rematch. LOL.

Did you see the crap people were giving Charlo after the JRock fight? Even though he quickly apologized and acknowledged he handled that poorly. Insane... Americans are quick to turn on our own but accept so much BS from other boxers.

Crawford gets a ton of flak. People are saying he's boring because he didn't KO Postol. That was only one fight, but people are treating it like it's his total makeup. They are also discrediting both the Lundy and Molina fights to make that statement and disregard the Gamboa fight because Crawford was too big. Also, apparently he is ducking Pacman because he wanted the fight at 140 instead of 147. These are all Crawford criticisms that I see regularly here.

Americans have full-on boners for AJ, Kov, GGG, Loma (I really like Loma), Pacman, etc. Wilder, Ward, Crawford, Bradley, etc? Ehhh... They're okay or they're ducking or I don't like their interview or he's boring or he's cheating. These are our (former) champions. Guys from other countries who have done less are getting more love than our accomplished champions. Maybe it's not as bad as I see it (and no boxer is free of criticism), but the support isn't there like it could be.

Hello alt. Maybe if Wladimir would of gone in to fight Juiceua this December as they initially intended the winner may have been available...btw did you protest to Molina when Klitschko passed on that date?

I'm not a fan of Deontay "Windmill" Wilder and his squad of bums but there I don't see any problem ! His opponent is even a relatively good one !

        BuuuumSquad !!!

Wilder has some nerve even trying to defend this travesty. And to call critics ignorant on top of it. This is just too much.

Makes me actively want to root against him. Not that it's worth the effort versus this no-hope joker.

I'm not going to go there. LOL. But I'm hoping Jacobs can pull off the upset! He has a great story and seems like a very nice, humble guy. It's hard not to root for him.

The Khan supporters would likely support Spence over Brook. There is definitely a stronger national feeling in regards to backing our fighters in the UK compared to in the US but SteveM is correct to point out there is plenty of factionalism here too. For one thing the UK is made up of four different nations.

People were giving Jermall Charlo crap for good reason, he was behaving like a child, it was highly embarrassing. You are being really paranoid because Crawford really doesn't get that much criticism. Sure people, myself included, thought he should have tried to stop Postol and there is plenty of reason from other fights not to be overly entertained by his performances. However I don't see him getting any more criticism than he deserves, not like some others get. Few people are saying Crawford is ducking Pacquiao, only the usual morons are saying things like that.

Of course there is an undercurrent amongst some for why those American fighters you listed aren't appreciated but surely the main reason is that there are valid reasons to be underwhelmed by them? Wilder is exciting for a current heavyweight but he isn't fighting anyone in the top 10, and whereas Crawford, Ward and Bradley have been fighting real quality opponents none of those three have majorly exciting styles that most boxing fans can get excited about.

                  Utter joke, garbage

Is anyone really surprised by any of this? I mean wilder couldn't get by a completely shot to bits bong toke training Arreola without major injuries. Perfect timing to get out of the critical eye and then come back and have an excuse to fight yet another can that has magically appeared in the rankings. On another note Wilder should have stayed through 7th grade English. He always sounds ignorant and his grammar is pathetic.

Lol so wilder doesn't mind criticising Joshua's opposition (despite them fighting a similar level of opposition) but now he wants to get defensive when the shoe is on the other foot 😂

I definitely am..even though I like Jacobs too...because Golovkin is an exciting fighter that puts on a show for the fans, and his performances are always worth the money to buy a ticket. Nothing racist about it.

There are scary racial issues in this country. Somehow, Trump got elected to be our next president, running on a platform that was very racist, ignorant, anti-******, etc. That **** is alarming....not American fans who support Golovkin because he actually puts on a good show.
