i'm thinking Ginger is gonna win, BIG, for some reason....
As for him having a champions mentality. Well, you should make the '54lb weight limit for this match and fight Lara for the belt that you fought for under the same circumstances when you fought Trout(Mayweather having the higher version of belt that you fought for)!
he is having weight issues and you know it. this is his excuse for not fighting at the 154 limit
I been saying exacly this since his Angulo fight. Still trying to get size advantage against the 54 guys same way he did by fighting inflated 140-147 pounders @ 54.

The wbc and ring titles were on the line for the trout fight, people seem to forget that...
I like Lara a lot but it seems people forget he has a habit of under performing in his biggest fights. Only big fights he did masterfully was in his fight against Austin Trout and P-Will. Against Martirosyan and Molina, he severely under performed and against Angulo he was able to get tagged. Outside of the Mayweather fight, Canelo has never laid a dud, especially when he's the A-side/favorite like Lara has in the past.
In my opinion both Canelo and Lara are overhyped by their fans. Canelo was far from being ready to get in the ring with Mayweather ( I even said to numerous people he took the fight at least 1 year too soon). He's an improving fighter but he's not as good as his starpower suggests, not yet atleast. Lara on the other hand I feel gets overhyped because he's unknown to the casual fans and some of his fans want to be 'ahead of the curve'. Also his strong amateur background and the fact he came from a Cuban school of boxing sometimes blinds some of his fans of his shortcomings. He's a talented boxer but he does have his deficiencies. He's too economical with his punches, vulnerable to body shots against the ropes, and looks uncomfortable in-fighting.
I think this is a 50/50 fight. I'll be rooting for Canelo as I see him having the potential to be a big star in boxing in the future. It will be a good thing as the sport will need new superstars once Mayweather and Pacquiao retire. Lara just doesn't have neither the fan base, the fighting style, or the personality to become a superstar (in terms of popularity and drawing power). However if Lara wins I won't be mad. I'd hope he does the same thing he did to get this fight to get a fight with Mayweather (call him out on social media, crash his interviews, etc).
I am getting the feeling Canelo will be superior in all regards, people will be surprised when in the center of the ring he is outboxing and countering Lara with power punch combinations. Lara is so 1 dimensional just straight left counter, hold, wait for the break, repeat.

Lara is quite overrated on these boards. Canelo was, to an extent, but the Lara hype isn't unlike the Matthysse hype.
