Who do you think is most likely to become the next big PPV star at 147? Khan, Broner, Garcia are moving up. Bradley, Maidana, Alexander are recent additions to the weight class while Brook is yet to fight for a world title. Keith Thurman's another potential star fighting at the weight. From this generation of fighters, who do you think will emerge as the biggest PPV star at 147?

well Broner is a likely candidate.....and believe it or not, possibly Rios.
he has a big chance against Manny. It would be a much bigger win than any of the others listed...since he'd likely have to KO manny to do it, and because he already has fans, a win like that would go a lot further than Bradley's has, for example. he might attract a more youthful and diverse demo here in the US than JMM does, and that isn't to say jmm isn't known or liked by all types, just saying there is still potential to grow beyond a good strong regional following, which he has.
Broner v Rios has always been a fight I've circled as being a big time money maker in teh future if they both continue to grow. obviously we hope rios is able to re-grow brain cells to keep himself around for that long..and hope broner invests in some ballet classes... but currently rios has the bigger opportunity than anyone as of yetLast edited by LA_2_Vegas; 09-25-2013, 01:08 AM.

Khan doesn't have the whiskers or the dedication to become a big PPV attraction. He might land the Mayweather fight but he will be soundly beaten and lose a lot of steam. Again.
I don't think Broner can do it. He doesn't really have the charisma or presence of a main attraction fighter, no matte how much he tries to imitate Floyd. His out of ring antics could screw up his public image, and at the end of the day I'm not sure he is as good as people think he is. We'll see.
I could see Danny Garcia being a big deal over on the east coast if he keeps winning.
