When has Khan fought intelligent against a intelligent and skilled opponent??

Against Judah, Malignaggi, most of the time against Kotelnik, even the short-lived bout against Salita. He wasn't as intelligent against Maidana consistently but sometimes he fought intelligently. Not against Peterson - he didn't respect his power, plus Peterson was on illegal drugs so it's not even a valid fair contest worthy of discussion. But Khan has showed the glimpses of intelligence he needs to compete against Mayweather. Whether he'll put it all together or not is a whole other story.

I don't agree,I've always seen Khan as a fighter who relies/uses his talent more so then his brain..Yes he beat those fighters, but because he was far more talented then them..Not because he out smarted them..Not trying to take anything away from Khan, but he is not a smart fighter bro..

That's why he got caught by both Prescott and Garcia, fighters he is far more talented then..Oh and neither Garcia or Prescott are thinkers..You say the Peterson fight is not even worth bringing up..But I believe here we have a fight yet again that Khan was the more talented fighter but fought a ****** fight..PEDS ok but there are ways to get around that in a fight..If ya fight smart you can take away what ya opponent is doing that is effective...

I've yet to see Khan do this, every fight he has won it has been because he overwhelms with his talent..Not that he out thought anybody..

          .
Khan put on a boxing lesson against Malignaggi and Judah, its true that his talent allowed him to do that but he needed intelligence to fight that way consistently, and he showed it. Malignaggi had something to do with Khan's attitude in the fight, he said that Khan couldnt outbox him. So he went into that fight with the mentality that he's going to outbox Malignaggi to prove him wrong. And thats what happened.

In the Garcia and Prescott fights he went in with the mentality to look for the KO. Against Garcia because of what his father said, and against Prescott because Khans trainer (one-off for that fight only) told Khan to rush Prescott early and look for the KO. The trainers game plan contributed to the early KO.

I voted bradley. its obvious its bradley. i dont get why the hell they're picking khan. khan has no business at welters with his damn chin. Bradley wont win but he probably would put a show more than any of the other guys. Khan gets KOed easier than garcia did to him. Bradley has the rough style and has a pretty good chin. he wasnt able to use that rough style against pacman but he could and would use it against floyd. Floyd mixes him up in the inside. Floyd will never get hurt. beautiful fight.

Imagine, after the Judah fight most would have picked Khan .... even just before the Garcia fight, some were saying it was going to be a very good fight .....

Now, except for a few, Khan is close to the bottom of that list.

Anyone that seriously believes Khan can compete with Floyd should just give up on this here sport, because that's just crazy.

Most competitive: Bradley, maybe Guerrero and Devon

                  Action fights: Berto, Garcia, Khan

Destructions and/or one sided: Malignaggi, Bailey, Brook

Unfortunately, the 3 guys I think who might be "competitive" don't really have much power at the weight, so nobody is gonna be demanding those fights (outside of Tim maybe)

Berto would be a fun fight, has a possibility of becoming competitive, and the idea that he has KO power would make it more interesting to people who want to see Floyd lose.

Just before the Garcia fight .... they prematurely announced Khan was more than likely going to fight Floyd ..... we had many Floyd fans calling it a very good fight.

In my mind, Khan had to prove that he can hang with the bigger boys before they fed him to Floyd.

I was saying just minutes before Garcia hit a home run that Khan better be careful because one of those may land on that suspect chin of his.

The bold is very, very true. Many Floyd fans were in deed up in arms defending that particular fight. I thought that that was crazy. The dude's never fought at welterweight & I knew he wasn't even the best in his division. I find it funny how anyone could try & justify that fight.
