Canelo was the worst thing that happened to this division in a while. Canelo being at 168 caused all the other possible contenders to take low risk fights in hopes that Canelo picks them. At one point we had Jermall Charlo, Berlanga, Munguia, Mbilli, Morrell, Benavidez, and Scull, all undefeated, hoping that Canelo would pick them but more importantly they weren't fighting each other.

Not true. Wasting time is not wasting money in boxing. It's investing. You avoid high risk, low reward fights and wait for your turn in the Canelo sweepstakes. You go inactive, you wait, then your escape route will come to fruition just like what the others did, Crawford, Charlo brothers, Berlanga, Eubank Jr is also waiting and wants no part of his mandatories in his division. It's not a sport it's a business.
