Rating the Chins of Beterbiev & Bivol

Are either iron. Bet has the faster recovery. Both have an at least decent chin, but we must see more to find out if either are iron

Beter was hurt twice by Johnson and knocked down the first time. He got up remained calm and recovered.

Bivol was hurt twice by Smith. And clinched to spoil as quickly as he could in the first instance. Resumed boxing and won round 4 anyways

Bet would need to land 2 to 3 big shots in one sequence to stop Bivol. I don’t see this happening due to Bivol’s defense

This could be a determining factor of the fight. Many people seem to be picking Dimtri Bivol to win this fight 'Because stylistically, it does seem like a sensible pick. It is always very easy to envision a great boxer skill for skill winning a fight, over the distance on points'.

But? out of those two fighters, people would have to admit that 'Arthur Beterbiev has been tested more, in regards to his durability'.

I think at this point in time, on recent form 'Beterbiev for sure not only has greater brute strength and punching power, but he is also been tested more intensity against power punches, Yes Beterbiev has been hurt in fights, this is not a negative. Because it gives boxing analyst a opportunity to see how he conducts himself in those sort of situations and recuperates'.

If Dimtri Bivol has one area of his game, where I don't really think he is that great 'I don't particularly think he is strong in terms of brute strength, and his punching power is not nowhere near elite. If you was to rate it on all of his recent performances'.

Note: Arthur Beterbiev is a fighter in my opinion, who needs to be hindered with power. If a opponent has a serious ambition to beat him 'At some point they need to whack him good and proper, and put some hesitation into his attitude on fight night. Even if Beterbiev's opponent's, can only achieve mild hinderance in Beterbiev's force moving forward. That level of hindrance may be enough, for them to execute a superior mid to long range boxing game'.

If Arthur Beterbiev is in solid form for this fight, and his overall conditioning is at the level of all his recent performances or greater. Then Dimtri Bivol is going to have to do more, than play a game of semi-violent tick vs Beterbiev.

That style of fight, or tactics in my opinion will not be enough to deter Beterbiev 'Bivol in such a fight, may win rounds. But there could be a impeding sense of doom for those observing the action, as Arthur Beterbiev just systematically goes through the gears and tracks Dimtri Bivol like Military Tank'.

To conclude: Arthur Beterbiev has actually fought and beat many more 175 pound fighters, who have a solid level of brute strength and power. And those fighters have been superior to Dimtri Bivol in this area of their game.

The closest fight and challenge which Dimtri Bivol has taken on, that is similar to Arthur Beterbiev 'Was his fight vs Canelo Alvarez'.

I personally still believe, that Canelo Alvarez has a chance of beating Dimtri Bivol in a rematch at 175 pounds 'If he can improve his endurance enough, to the level where he is able to force Bivol to fight in area's where he is no longer the dominant fighter stylistically'.

Arthur Beterbiev one of his best attributes throughout his career, has been his endurance 'So theoretically both fighters in reality, have all the attributes to beat each other. Dimtri Bivol and Arthur Beterbiev, are both stylistically diametric'.

They are almost at least in this boxing era, peak archetypes of each boxing style 'Dimtri Bivol is all about skill for skill boxing, and dominating his fighters with his mid to long range game. And Arthur Beterbiev stylistically is a fighter who likes to apply consistent systematic pressure, with solid boxing fundamental skills supported by his brute strength and power'.

So, which one of these style's is going to win? What do you like best? For me, the victor in this fight 'Will be the fighter who execute's his game the best. Neither fighter will want to compete in the middle ground, they will both be trying to make the fight their type of genre. That is a ability great boxer's have, Floyd Mayweather Junior always seek to dictate how the action in the fight played out'

It is a close fight to call, and from a pure boxing perspective 'Very intriguing. It is a clash of styles peak for peak, like Muhammad Ali vs Joe Frazier or Jake LaMotta vs Sugar Ray Robinson' etc.

        I’m anticipating Bivol 9-3 Beterbiev

Biv had a ko ratio of 85% up until he stopped sitting down on his shots in the pocket to preserve his hands and prevent head clashes

Biv had hand problems and like Floyd went from a boxer-puncher to a boxer-counterstriker

Biv has enough power. On a p4p scale harder hitter than Floyd. Well ahead of Pernell Whitaker and Timmeh lol

Biv power comes out whenever he sits down on his straight right hand and cross

I think Biv will start fast and spam rights in round 1. Make Bet know these shots hurt you can’t just freely come forward

Neuter Bet’s jab and walk a frustrated lunging Bet into counter traps

if Biv can knock down Bet, it would punctuate the win

        good fights for both after

Biv VS the winner of Benavidez-Morrell

Bet VS Jai. I see Jai winning a war for however long it lasts. But I want to see how Bet’s power carries up one weight class against a guy with 20 pounds over him

What’s so impressive about Bivol’s defence in your opinion?

I just think he relies on the high guard to block punches and his feet to get out of range.

You rarely ever see him slip shots, I don’t actually think he’s that difficult to hit if you get into range- that’s the difficult part.

doesn’t get hit all that much

best at parrying the jab to catch & shoot with his own. Opponents struggle to get into range with their jab neutered and Bivol’s quick feet

He pulls to make shots miss by an inch and then counters rather than slip & counter

What he lacks defensively doesn’t duck his head change levels and roll under. These Russian fighters are vertically rigid or upright

I totally agree, these Russians are hard vertical which is their strength and weakness.

Beterbiev showed impressive recovery after being knocked down, maintaining composure and managing to recover effectively. His experience and calmness under pressure are significant assets.

I don’t think it’s anything special. I don’t think we’ve seen anybody put Bivol under fire like Beterbiev will. I suspect Artur finds the target a lot easier than people think. Guess we’ll find out for real on Oct 12th, may the best man win!

Don’t forget how he fought through the cut against Browne too.
