Canelo is not taking hard fights because he doesn`t have to.

Fighters usually take hard fights only when they have to.

All 3 of those fighters ducked him for various reasons. See Mosley having a toothache and needing a vacation, Pacquiao's mysterious fear of needles despite having tattoos, and Arum straight up hiding Cotto from Mayweather. He dominated all of them despite not being prime himself anyway.

Floyd ducked pac. Random testing...goalposts moved. First 14 days was OK with Floyd, when that was agreed upon, changed it to 0. When that was agreed upon Then Floyd changed the money to only give pac 40 million no ppv when pac was actually selling more in ppv and live gate at the time! I did an entire thread on this. These aren't the actions of someone who wants to fight. Goalpost moving and lowballing are actions of a guy who does not want to fight.

Floyd literally said he can't fight cotto because he lives too far away and because he's not a ppv star(while fighting guys like baldomir) these are not the actions of a guy who wants to fight. Floyd also turned down a cotton offer and said I'll take it if you guarantee me 20 million for Hoya. This is called pricing yourself out because the very next year when a cotto fight wasn't part of the equation he accepted a 10 million guarantee to fight Hoya thus proving he deliberately killed the cotto fiight with demands he wasn't serious about.

Mosley I don't know and don't care he was rubbish. The prime guys Floyd ducked and that's why his resume is what it is. Full of old guys and baldomirs which Is 100 percent his fault since he had all the power to make fights happen and he didn't. 40 million flat offer for pac...until pac is old then 55-45 split is just fine. He's even waffling back and forth on his own demands. You can't be serous. He also ducked margarito and fought sharmba and zab for less but I'm guessing you have an excuse for that too. Just a coincidence be missed the best? Sorry evidence points to him intentionally avoiding them and yet here you are defending a coward for unknown reasons. Just look at the facts. He didn't want them and constantly made excuses not to fight good fighters. Con artist

                This take is lame.

Yes he can choose his fights but there are two problems below:

                1. Canelo continues to claim he is the best fighter on the planet. To prove you are the best you must fight the best.

                2. Canelo is once again the undisputed super middle champ, unifying with complete **** bag william scull. The belt rankings are a joke. Scull should NEVER be mandatory much less given a championship belt. Canelo should have been stripped years ago for refusing to fight Benavidez.

IF canelo was honest and said "you know what guys Im past my best, I will still keep fighting but only guys of my choosing and I no longer am the best fighter in the world, here you guys can have the belts I will just fight some lower level guys or smaller guys to stay active for my remaining fans" THEN you can say sure fight whomever you want. That hasnt happened.

Pacquaio's promoter said the fight could not be made until an entire stadium was built. Did you forget that part?

                    All I will say is:

                    Canelo Fans before Bivol's fight:

1st Bivol, then Beterbiev and then Usyk! Easy work!

After reality hits them and now the number 1 excuse:

Canelo is too small for 175.

Arum said he would like to see it in a bigger stadium. That was in no way part of the official negotiations and I have read a lot about it. The mediator never mentioned thst either as a sticking point. That was public relations by team mayweather to try and paint pac as the guy who didn't want to fight. Taking a comment and twisting it. Propaganda 101.

We have the receipts for why the fight never happened. Floyd wanted 14 day cutoff...pac said no at first then next time said yes. Fight should be on..Floyd moved the goalposts to 0 days. Pac said no at first...next time said yes. Fight should be on..Floyd moved the goalposts again to 40 million flat offer no ppv when pac was more popular.

He got exactly what he wanted over and over and didn't fight. The stadium was never part of negotiations. You got tricked by the guy avoiding the fight if you thought it was which was their intention so well done to them. They threw a lot of crap agaisnt the wall and some of it stuck.

for example Floyd saying cotto lives too far away is silly and lame but it wasn't actually something that he used to avoid the fight in official negotiations. Officially he wanted 20 million for Hoya as part of a cotto fight. Obviously pricing himself out to kill the fight. He knew that was absurd because he accepted 10 million hoya guarantee later when cotto wasn't part of the deal. Why ask for something crazy? To kill the fight. He thought pac would never agree to 14 days or 0. Bluff got called. no fight. His fault. You don't say I'll fight this guy all he has to is this then run away when he agrees. Thats exactly what happened. Many times too.
