Seven years ago…

… seven years ago in Harlem, New York City, I did one of my boxing get-togethers and a bunch of us were hanging out on the sidewalk outside the club and my friend was videotaping everything.

He sent me this just this morning and until a few hours ago I never knew this existed and I never knew this guy was even there.

You can see Angel Manfredy and Junior Jones and Mark Breland and in the back you can see Luis Collazo.

Standing next to Luis, talking to him is a young unknown local professional who had three fights at the time

Next weekend he fights Canelo Alvarez on the big stage for all the marbles.

Angel Manfredy and Junior Jones , man , those two guys were excellent fighters, thanks Ice Man for bringing back memories of them for me. They were in some great fights with the likes of Gatti and Barrera. Whatever happened to them after boxing ? It would be cool to have some " Where are they now ? " articles on this site.

I’ve talked to both Angel and Junior within the last three or four days. Angel is in Indiana and Junior is in New York City but I see Junior pretty frequently at different events we both attend together. Angel has been to a few of them as well.
