Was sorely tempted to include my hometown boy One Smack against Isaac Chamberlain, odds are tight and I think he's in with a real chance at the upset but I had to draw the line somewhere else I would have had to include Gary Antuanne vs Puello too. Ah well.
Why didn’t you include Gary Antuannne vs Puello? It’s for the WBC interim title and is a 4-star BoxRec fight.

The 3 primary criteria are (in roughly descending order):
Both fighters in top 10 per TBRB
Full title fight
4*+ fight per Boxrec
Ideally we should be including all fights that hit all 3 and most that fit at least 2 and in most circumstances nearly all fights that hit the first criterium will be included.
A 4th floating criteria is odds, fights where the underdog is below +300 are more likely to be included or prioritised even when only 1 or 2 of the primary criteria are met (or even on a quiet week when the fight is only a 3* Boxrec fight)
In addition on most regular weeks I aim to include at least 2 and not more than 4 fights although if there's more that hit most criteria or there's a special event I will do more and will label it as a 'mega' Pick Em.
There's a bit of nuance around extremely anticipated fights or popular / P4P fighters or situations where, say 1 fighter is top 10 and the other is close, and also in situations where we got quiet fight weeks and I'm willing to look a little further down the rankings (such as last week) just so as we keep momentum going, but that's pretty much the gist of it.
The only box ticked by Gary Antuanne vs Puello is the Boxrec rating, although I do like fights between 2 unbeatens and would certainly have included it if we hadn't already had a number of fights which hit more of the criteria. You could argue that I've included Gvodyk vs Benavidez despite David not being ranked at 175 but I took the liberty of presuming his default top 10 ranking at 175 based on his high ranking at 168 (and his size - he's undoubtedly a natural LHW and at nearly 28 years old is unlikely to go back to SMW unless he drains back down one more time for a Canelo fight).
Now I'll hold up my hands and acknowledge that I'm not always 100% consistent - although I do shoot for it - but anyway the above were my thought processes this week when I was deciding.. like I say I saw Massey vs Chamberlain and Gary vs Puello as both fights that would have been included on a quieter week, neither particularly high priority but both kinda interesting in their own way, Massey vs Chamberlain cos of the tight odds and GAR vs Puello because they're both unbeaten.
