He is turning down a guaranteed 1 million dollar purse and a shot at the undisputed championship.

He could lose this tuneup. He probably won't, but he could.
Inoue could also lose in September. He'll face one of Doheny, Casimero, or Akhmadaliev. He'll be favored against any of them, of course. But anyone can lose.

Or there could be an injury or some other delay. If both he and Inoue come through their fights with wins and no injuries, they'll face each other in December. And that's the most likely outcome. But it's still just a ******, ****** risk. Take the money while it's on the table, kid.

I don't think he has much future in the IT. What does he know? Python, PHP, SQL?

Its more likely hes just old school hard-headed about boxing business or maybe hes had some injury & wants to test out his recovery vs a lesser guy than a p4p guy. Whatever it actually is I doubt it has anything to do with the threat of losing to Monster. He doesn't seem like a cat who carries that type of mindset.

anI think that "scared of" mindset is mostly in fans minds cuz they don't understand most high level athletes got the exact opposite mindset of regular ass ppl. Regular ass ppl overthink losing & ways one could lose. High level athletes only think about winning & how to win.
you seem to be putting these people on a pedestal when in reality they are just humans with the same feelings as anyone else. they are not super humans. bluster is what it is and nothing more. bluster. when a guy says im the best or no one can beat me. thats just hot air. yeah they might really think that but then thats just a personality disorder, and if they really did believe that they would take the hardest fights so its pretty quickly exposed how full of hot air they are when the excuses come flying out of their asses to kill fights. floyd says hes the best, no one can beat him, blah blah blah ducks margarito, cotto, pac, etc...where did his im not scared mindset go??? if he really didnt care about losing and he really loved money, the fights would have been made. same with canelo vs ggg years earlier or benavidez. they were worried about losing and killed the fights.

not sure goodman is doing that and he probably isnt since hes the b side guy here and it would be hard for him to make the jump to a side super star without innoue. its very possible the innoue fight is set to happen in september pending goodman winning in july, but if goodman skips his turn at innoue thats not a brave move at all. innoue could lose, move up, have bigger fights against nakatani etc...who knows if he ever gets a shot.

I'd argue you are putting your own insecurities on ppl in a highly competitive environment like professional sports more than I'm putting anyone on a pedestal.

He's going to hate himself forever if something derails the December date. 1 million dollar guaranteed payday, a shot at undisputed.

                A Goodman loss in July
                An Inoue loss in September
A cut or other injury to either fighter
Inoue moving up for a more lucrative featherweight fight
                somebody failing a drug test

Just way too many things that could go wrong.

At this point I understand no Goodman on September, but in that case the question is what tqe heck is going on with MJ? Haven't heard a peep from him since last year, but is he injured or something?

This is crazy, it’s not like he’s been inactive and needs the rounds… something fishy here, I reckon Inoue has been cornered by the Saudis and he’s going to fight a bigger name, makes no sense for Goodman to risk this.

Did he walk into the ring after the nery fight to challenge Inoue on his own or was he invited.

Because if he did that on his own then fuccem. Monster don't need this fool Wth...
