Should have been a ref stoppage in round 9

Gave fury the slowest count I've seen in a while and ended the round early what a disgrace. Just glad the right man won. Slava Ukraine.

How do you explain both fighters still throwing leather at the final bell then? I am not sure of the specific rules for this fight, but a standing 8-count is not an alien concept if you've followed Boxing for any length of time. Did you want the referee to stop it out of concern for Fury's safety? Or did you want it stopped so you could say "WOOO USYK KO BABYYY!!"? Because Fury is tough as nails, and proved once again he is a hard man to keep down. He didn't even go down. Just like Ray LaMotta, a classic fight. A moment like when Hagler chased Hearns round the ring. This was a legendary night, don't ***** and cry lad ffs.

Right man won. Nothing corrupt about a standing 8th count it has existed before when a fighter just getting saved by the ropes. It saved fury because he got hurt when the 9th round was under a minute to go. Had he got hurt with like 2 mins left then he definitely would get KTFO. People just want conspiracy theories. Even if their man won there’s really gotta be something not right

I've never understood this especially when the guy you are rooting for wins anyway.

As fans do you not want to see more of the fight if its possible.

I think refs should stay out of the way unless the guy is asleep on the canvas tbh.

It was a slow count, but when do you ever hear of a count being too fast? Counts are always slow. Also you don't stop fights in title fights like this unless the guy is KTFO.

I'm going to guess that most people (myself included) probably meant a mandatory 8 rather than a standing 8. To be a little pedantic.

A fan will want his favorite fighter to win by KO.

If it was the other way around, I think there would be questions too. However, Fury has a history of not being as hurt as he looks and recovering well and refs don't want end super-fights early.
