Kendal Holt Says Cotto will Knock Out Pacquiao in Ninth Round

Two former world boxing champions predict that Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico will beat Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao when they collide on November 14 at the MGM Grand garden arena in Las Vegas, Nevada
Popular Puerto Rican boxer Miguel Cotto will knock out Manny Pacquiao in the ninth round when they face each other on November 14 at the MGM Grand garden arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Holt, who is the former WBO lightweight champion knocked out former lightweight titleholder, David Diaz who was also beaten by Manny Pacquiao last year.
    Philstar reports:

Cotto will end up stopping him because hes too big and too strong,?said Holt, quoted by Joseph Santoliquito in The Ring Magazine. Cotto has shown he can deal with the fastest fighters in the world, beating Zab Judah and Shane Mosley. Pacquiao beat a dried-up Oscar de la Hoya and Ricky Hatton was made for him. Pacquiaos victories definitely fooled the general public.?br />
Former IBF lightweight title holder Paul Malignaggi likewise predicted that Cotto will beat Pacquiao. Malignaggi lost to Cotto three years ago and was beaten badly by Ricky Hatton of England. Pacquiao knocked out Hatton in their last fight in Las Vegas.
'Malignaggi said Pacquiao is definitely trying to bite off more than he can chew?in facing Cotto. The Brooklyn stylist lost a 12-round decision to Cotto three years ago and was halted by Hatton in 2008.
I know (Pacquiao) beat Oscar but you can make the argument that Oscar was pretty shot by then,?said Malignaggi whose record is 26-3, with six KOs. Cottos punches hurt, believe me I felt them. I dont know if Manny can take that from such a bigger guy whos close to the top of his game. Cotto wins by decision in a great fight.?
Surely, Cotto will use his size advantage to repulse Pacquiao who is much smaller and lighter than the Puerto Rican boxer. But many Pacquiao watchers believe that the popular Filipino boxer's speed and power will prove difficult for Cotto to counter.

Bingo, Pac's wins over Oscar and Hatton fool the general public, why people dont see this is beyond me. This time their banking on 145 affecting Cotto also the fact that he doesnt seem the same since the Marg fight.

Im a Cotto fan and I also like Pac but I think Kendall Holt is totally wrong in his prediction. I think Cotto will KO Pac in round 4-6.

From where Pac came from, it's pretty impressive. However in the bigger picture VS a prime, strong fighter as Cotto, those fights don't compare. We got to see Pac's footwork and speed, and power VS Hatton, but let's see how he3 does VS someone that is in his prime.

I personally feel Pac has improved so much and deals with the weight better and is more stronger because he isn't draining so much.
