And Boots would probably get some $125K for that fight from PBC. Protective measures are more important than money from their vantage point for now.
Assuming that is true, it is ABSOLUTELY no different from Bud going after Brook and Khan - I suppose those weren’t generational talents at WW when Bud faced them.
Just to remind you in case your memory is hazy, Bud was the face of WW who had conquered 135 and 140 division when he faced those two “best” guys at WW.

You ever imagine the thinking was that Spence might have been the one who most likely would have given Boots a shot?
If Bud never fought Spence, it is pretty obvious he would have never fought Boots.
Fighting guys like Khan, Brook, Avanesyan, Kavaliauskas was always the safer path.Last edited by Oregonian; 02-25-2024, 03:11 PM.Combat Talk Radio likes this.

So when Bud says he’s got nothing for us , that is perceived as a duck
But when Bozy says : “No, for what?” said Ennis. “Conor Benn doesn’t have nothing that we want. We want to clean the 147 division out, clean the titles up and then we move to 154.”
Is that then considereda duck from Boots towards fughin Conor Benn ?
See how ****** that looks cause in all reality we know Boots would beat the chit out of Benn , right ?
So what’s good for the gander is good for the geese
Not to mention all the opportunities Boots had to fight Bud But didn’t
Ask this same question to that moron Leicesterage or now hiding behind the combat name and get no answer
I wonder why ?

Lmfao but but
on a side note Crawford isn't getting any older and he's gotta do something ?? Waiting around for one eyed Spence isn't good. I mean Spence has had 2 car accidents one was life threatening 2 major eye surgeries and cant make 147lbs... how does that look for Crawford?? Whatever anyone may think of Crawford Spence is completely damaged goods Crawford winning another fight VS one eyed spence means nothing. The only person that has anything to gain is Spence with a 90-10 chance of losing the rematch.Last edited by cruz1383; 02-25-2024, 04:13 PM.

This sentiment from the Ennis camp is textbook. Can no longer support their claim that no one wants to mess with Boots.
What does a Benn fight offer?? An opportunity to CRUSH a drug cheat, earn some good money (maybe in the middle east), and secure more fans towards building a case as the belt holder to beat in order to be considered the best in the division.
Crawford is never going to fight Boots. Team Ennis needs to refine their long term plan. The current one is shallow and, I have to admit, transparently risk-averse.

Here’s the bottom line though, at 26 years of age, Boots is a bigger name than Crawford was.
Boots may never get a chance to face Bud, but he will certainly clean out the division. After that, the toxic haters will still find ways to discredit him by calling it a weak division as though Bud’s hit list at 147 was a slew of killers. It is absolutely not.
The only HoF guy Bud has beaten at WW is Spence.
I like Bud and I predicted he would KO Spence but if he never fights Boots, it’s pretty obvious why that is so.

For Crawford to say Boots doesn't have anything well no one at 147 has anything because Crawford has everything lol
