tank understands boxing perfectly. knock out bums, tiny fighters moving up, drained fighters and pretend you are great. he is the definition of manufactured hype. its been 6 years since he won a title and hes fought a grand total of 3 top 10 ranked opponents ranked 6, 8, and 9. that is not great. with his status and drawing power he could get almost any fight he wants and yet this is his resume. its a choice. his career is a charade, a farce, a scam, a ruse, a con.

          Stank linking his chops.
Wonder if he'll do add a rehydration clause

Daggum, I think you make some good points. Tank coulda, probably shoulda, fought better by now. Im not going to get into analysing guy's records down to who TKO who etc, firstly because I get bored, secondly because I don't think it proves much, thirdly, because if I was going into that detail I'd do it for cricket not boxing. I'm gonna say that on the 'eyeball test' I look at Tank & he is for real, he proper can fight. With Lomachenko semi-retired & Haney moved to 140 who do you want Tank to fight? Presumably Shakur, there isn't really anyone else. I don't think Tank has ducked Shakur & I don't think he will do.

What I find hilarious is the same people who call Tank great, P4P, the face of boxing also call Garcia a bum, if that's the case, why is Tank getting so much credit for beating a bum?...

I don't know anyone who suggested Tank was great for knocking out Garcia, or Walsh, or beating Cruz. Some guys get a huge fight that marks their 'coming out' & I guess 'Bam' got that v Sonny. Others just have to keep putting wins together & hope that eventually they are given recognition.

my argument is looking great against weak opposition doesnt necessarily translate to looking great against better competition. there is no way to know. also i would argue that tank hasnt looked all that great to begin with. most of hte time he does look pretty good against overmatched opponents but the cruz fight was dead even to me, the barrios fight was even until the late knockout(barrios was drained with a rehydration clause so not a surprise he faded late) and he also looked pretty mediocre against a slippery mover named fonseca before rabbit punch ko'ing him later in the fight. maybe that is nitpicking but these guys arent super good to me and he struggled.

as far as who he should fight? anyone good? anyone ranked in the top 5 of his own division? anyone not drained or forced to do other debilitating stipulations? another problem is tank is a division hopper when he needs to be. he can fight barrios at 140 but not haney? makes no sense. loma is a bit old but hes still viable. he just beat haney on my card. why not make that fight? cruz rematch is not compelling to me as i dont think cruz is very good and the only reason hes even ranked in the top 5 is because he fought tank so close. shakur would be good but dont tihnk tank wants that. zepeda would be good but dont think tank takes that. so loma, shakur or zepeda or lopez/haney at 140. lots of fights
