Comments Thread For: Taylor On Proposed Serrano Rematch: I'd Be Happy To Do Twelve-Threes With Amanda

Katie Taylor has not given up on the idea of a rematch with Amanda Serrano. She is also open to changing the stakes for their long-anticipated sequel. Taylor (23-1, 6KOs) ended Cameron's undisputed junior welterweight championship with a win over ten, two-minute rounds--the traditional route for women's boxing matches at the title level. Their bout took place this past Saturday at 3Arena in Dublin, which also hosted their first fight won by Cameron (18-1, 8KOs).

Hope it happens, think she lost the first fight, she didn't want 12 3 minute rds the first time when Serrano did.

          false

that was the press conference in the run up to the fight, it was a stunt from serrano

contracts signed and she never mentioned this at the time

plus, the WBC dont sanction womens 3 mins rounds so the fight could not have been for undisputed, which serrano herself was ****ing on about for months in the run up

taylor pointed this out to her and guess what, crickets lol

          a stunt and nothing else

Not a fan of women's boxing but fair play Taylor you have to respect her and what she has done.

Any close fight/loss she's had so far she's rematched an avenged.

Serrano was another one and she's up for the rematch.

If you saw the first fight then you realize that Katie was very very fortunate it wasn't 12 3 minute rds, again I hope it happens.

again false, taylor was the one who finished strongest, serrano was the one who gassed

Alot of people were unhappy with the decision and how Katie beat the clock in 2 rds she was badly hurt due to the 2 minute rds so if the rematch happens its very commendable of Taylor and if she is able to win without controversy we may have to consider her up there in the WGOAT talk.

Taylor would’ve got stopped in the 5th if it were a three minute round.
