No one asked for this fight as fury is still active and holds a title. This is not some mayweather/conor thing where mayweather was retired and came back after 2 years. People can see through fury's bs. He lies a lot and insults people's intelligence. Not only he looked bad winning, but he also made boxing look bad. That means all these massive payouts for future fights have dried up for the fighters.

Nobody talks about the impacts to the sport when fighters are overpayed but it has major negative effects. Guys will hold out not fighting each other waiting for big pay days. Or if they are under a big contract like GGG under Dazn who had high guarantees regardless who he fought, he was happy to fight steve rolls for 10 million, that destroys the sport.

I don’t think the Saudis notice losing $100 million so this is nothing.
