Mayweather Jr. Tops CompuBox Plus/Minus Ratings

Floyd distanced himself as #1 plus/minus rated fighter after his amazing +47 performance vs. Marquez, who drops to a –1. Roy Jones was a +41 in his dominating performance vs. Reggie Johnson in ’99. Vitali Klitschko, follwing his +22 performances in comeback fights vs. Sam Peter and Juan Carlos Gomez is #2. Vitali defends vs. #3 Chris Arreola (+25) Saturday in LA. Six of the 17 listed fighters with an even or plus rating are welterweights- boxing’s deepest weight class.

Plus/minus rating determined by subtracting opponent’s connect pct. from listed fighter’s overall connect pct., which includes jab connect pct. & power punch connect pct.

No surprise here....the man hits his opponents cleanly and just doesn't get hit.

Interesting to see where the others stand on the list.

Mayweather and Wlad being in the top 2 isn't much of a suprise, but Arreola at 3 was a shocking

Yea, probably because Calzaghe "landed" 200 + punches against him lol

I wonder what kind of effect that had on his standing...

Another thing you got to consider is resume. Angulo and Arreola probably have the weakest on that entire list.

yeah the Calzaghe fight really skewed Bernard's stats considering Pavlik didn't even touch him in their last fight but still I wouldn't have expected Angulo or Arreola to be on top of a list like this
