Don't know why he gets so much hate. He did go up in weight and challenged an undefeated proven champ.

Great fighters mostly loose when they go up in weight looking for that challenge. No different here.
I would have more respect if Canelo fought the best in just ONE weight class but he...as the cash cow...intentionally chose to aviod them all and claims that he's a risk taker????? How does that work?

Nothing but respect for your posts but please, explain how avoiding the best is every division makes Canelo or anyone else P4P anything?

It's not Canelo's fault but not every fighter can jump around divisions and get fights as easily as he can. It is amusing seeing people change their opinion of fighters after Canelo fought them though. On a side note, I do think we've already seen the best of Canelo. He's not a young 32 and all the weight jumping, I think, is already starting to take its toll. People who think he's just entering his prime or recently entered it are kidding themselves.

He can't fight everyone at the same time. He wanted to be undisputed at 168 and he did it. You can't say that those guys were not legit fighters. He tried to capture another title to be undisputed at 175 and he failed. I don't see the shame in that. I don't think the Charlo is better than Bivol and Benavides is making a lot of noise with his mouth but his competition has been subpar (I still want to see that fight).

After the GGG fight lets see where he goes from there. I am for one think that fight past its expiration date but it is still a big fight because of their fanbases. I will watch with a lot of interest but wasn't waiting for this fight to happen.

I don't know who he has really avoided. Andrade other than calling him out has done nothing to make a case for himself and look the last few opponents of Charlo, nothing notable. If Bivol wins and he wants again that fight will be there.

I mean there are plenty of guys who took a lot of risks and moved up in weight classes. Canelo is the only fighter to stay on the p4p rankings despite multiple losses tho which is horse****.

Very accurate. All of those guys have taken comprable or greater risks than canelo. If we’re talking strictly risk, Donaire has taken greater risks across multiple weight classes and even Danny Garcia fighting prime versions of khan, Mathysse, Thurman, Porter and Spence are greater risks than what canelo has taken.
