This is going to look like Mayorga vs nearly every elite fighter he faced. Rolly will take some good shots, land a few of his own but will get outclassed on his way to being stopped.

Boxing fans better take note, if we are going to complain and not support cards then promoters are going to do just what Floyd and Haymon are doing- market the cards toward casual non boxing fans that are willing to support the fight.

Boxing fans keep talking about the sport needs to bring in new viewers. Have any of you thought about the fact that new viewers may not share the same opinions on what makes a “great” fight or what fights are “ppv worthy”?

I think everyone has a different expectation of opponent when comparing the top p4p boxer and cash cow with a guy like Tank.

In fairness, at this age Canelo had far more fights and was in against Kirkland, Angelo and Cotto level opponents.

Tank should be expected to at least have a Cotto level opponent in his next fight.

It would be a double standard if Tank and Canelo are equal. They aren’t and you’re smart enough to know that.

I get that we’re in an over politicized society where everything gets equated but those of us with common sense need to stay above that.

If the point is Tank at his age is fighting garbage compared to what Canelo was fighting at a similar age- 100% fair point and correct. If the point is Tank should fight better people-ok I’m with that as well.

Absolutely he has. That’s why I have him top p4p like most.

As a Floyd fan you should know there are always fans that will do that.

I can’t argue against why you feel that way. I just think that there are completely different expectations for a guy in Canelo’s spot and a guy in Tank’s, regardless of race.
