Looks like The Toney/Ruiz fight might fizzle out!

WBA heavyweight champion John Ruiz's title defense against James Toney will go to purse bid. Toney's promoter Dan Goossen will reportedly ask the the WBA for a 50/50 slpit instead of the normal 75/25 in the champ's favor.

Looks like Toney aint as confident as most ppl think. If it does go dwon I got the quite *** by UD or Late TKO. Oh yeah who was that limey that bet me 50.00 on this fight? You better pay up when Ruiz beats the lil organ grinder

At least we agree The John Ruiz is a ***! LMFAO. Seriously though Toney knows that since he is the challenger and it is going to a bid he should at most get 25%. NOW YOU KNOW RUIZ'S promoter, DK, won't let Toney have 50% of purse! Are you ***in kiddin me? So it appears to me they are going to price themselves out of this fight. Look I see yer a Toney fan, but I also have read yer post and know you are boxing savy. Toney's lazy defensive style is tailor made for Ruiz! If this fight does happen I'd be willing to bet you, a friendly wager, say 50.00-100.00 on Ruiz, you game?

I will bet you everything, all the points I have. That's like 30,000 right now but by fight time I can get it higher I'm sure. And I will do a signature bet too. If I win you can put Joeboxer is my daddy and if you win I'll put whatever you want, for a month.

I doubt they'll price themselves out of this fight, they're simply trying to negotiate a deal that will net Toney a bigger piece of the pie. Regardless of what happens between GT and DK, I can guarantee this fight will go down.

Toney has 0 respect for John Ruiz's skills -- and that's all Toney cares about. Power and size are meaningless to him, he only cares about his opponents skills.

Calling Toney's defense lazy is ridiculous.

On the inside (if Ruiz chooses to fight that way) Toney will have a field day with short punches, and doubling the left hook downstairs upstair. Ruiz will look silly try to jab and hug and getting caught with uppercuts coming in, and I can see Toney wearing the hugger down the stretch.

If this fight does happen I'd be willing to bet you, a friendly wager, say 50.00-100.00 on Ruiz, you game?
You mean you'd actually put yourself in a position to root for the Quiet ***?

you wanna bet via neteller? I agree Ruiz has lil skill but I can bet you he will neutralize lil james toney on the inside. He neutralizes alot bigger guys then JT. So i'll make you same offer to you lil kids bet or mans bet you decide.
