The guy was only 37 years old ! only a few years older than me. Such a waste of life.
Arturo provided us with multiple Fights of the year. No one else can lay claim to more FOTYs
Sure he wasn't the most talented, but his fighting spirit, will, blood and guts will go down in boxing legend
RIP Arturo, this one's for you mate (raises his glass)

RIP Arturo, one of the boxers that can be truly described as a warrior. He made up for his weaknesses with pure heart and determination. I'll never forget the Ward fights and his brilliant career.
So thanks Arturo, sadly your gone to soon.

What I find funny is that some of you talked mad **** about Gatti, on how he was a punching bag and other stuff. Now that he's dead, some of you turn around and start calling him a legend.

man........
i grew up watching gatti put his life on the line every time he fought. he wasnt the greatest boxer ever, but he brought the sport to life, and his fights with ward will be a staple of boxings high points forever. even in death, gatti is still my hero.
RIP arturo, you will be missed
