    State of British boxing

    Not good is it.

Looking at our current prospects the best we can hope for is a couple of average belt holders in a few years

Im sure it will be ok, we have always been a nation with a few average belt holders, a few good ones and a few bad ones.

We have some decent prospects though, your man Tyson Fury, Scott Quigg/Carl Frampton in the bantams, Degale (imo) will do ok, Billy Joe Saunders etc

Some will make it, others will get exposed but British boxing will always be ok. The extra funding for our amateur program will definitely help in scouting talent and hopefully we can see some talent come through there...

We won't see many p4p quality fighters, but i'm sure the UK promoters will do a good job of harboring some champions.

Khalid Yafai looks to be a sensational prospect

Disagree. There is always someone coming through.
Buglioni looks quality and seems to have the biggest cult following since Hatton.

Never feels good looking through the prism of a loss (Price fight), but a win can turn all that around.

Kal yafai I've a feeling won't improve much just think he spent to much time as an amateur and has reached his ceiling could be wrong though.....I think lee selby is very impressive and if his brother turns pro will also be a future star also John Ryder looks a decent talent

Yep agree. Easy to react this way after what was considered one of our best prospects gets KO's. I appreciate the that we may not have many future world champions lined up but things change so quickly in boxing. We have plenty of potential domestic classics that could be made.

We still punch well above our weight when you consider our population.
