Nobody's better at pretending he wants a heavyweight title fight, though.

He turned down eliminators vs Pulev, Ortiz, and Breazeale (all of whom got title shots before he did) and turned down a unified title shot against Joshua (which Ruiz took and won). Then he finally fought an eliminator against Rivas, almost lost to the bum, changed gloves after the glove selection meeting without apparent consequence, then tested positive for a second time.

And yet, somehow, people buy into this narrative that he's been mistreated.

I've been saying for years that Whyte's plan all along was to fight for a vacant interim title and then hope to politic his way to being elevated to full champion due to Fury either dropping the WBC belt or accepting some bogus "Franchise" designation.

I completely agree mate. I think he’ll reject the opportunity to fight Fury as well because of the purse splits. He’ll claim the WBC is “screwing him” once again.

He’s possibly the best con man in British boxing history. Haye was bad but at least he actually won world titles and had the odd decent win. Even Haye only had 6 PPV’s, Whyte is on his f***ing 8th and he hasn’t even won a European title.

Also disrespectful to Mike McCallum since Whyte's body punching has never been very impressive.
