        April 19, Wednesday night

You have to admit though, Mundine has pretty much exceeded all expectations since announcing his move to boxing in 2000. He's genuinely considered as one of the top contenders in a division that is quickly hotting up.

He's done well for himself, Echols was a good win, and he gave Kessler plenty of problems with a lot of close rounds. Funny how people like to downplay everything he's ever done.

I hate to say it but Mundine will win, prob UD. Green can hit big time but he wont be able to get to Mundine. Green has been dropped only once in his career but by a nobody with nowhere near the timing, speed and power of Mundine and Green can be outboxed e.g fight #2 with Beyer.

That being said i hope im wrong, Mundine is definatly a world class talent, just his mouth, more annoying is that he is not original in anything he says.
There was a little known heavyweight in the 60's and 70's named Ali i think, who basically had the same sort of rants, political, racial and what not, difference being he was educated in what he said, believed in what he said and COULD back it up, when Ali stood up and said the immortal " I am the greatest" no one argued

On a sour note for us Sydney fans, according to latest reports unless you go to the fight you wont see it, total sydney media blackout

I'd actually pick Mundine to maybe beat Lacy, he has some fast hands and an awkwardish style.

                I Hate to say Mundine

As Much As I Can't Stand Mundine I Think All He Has To Do Is Run
From Green For 6 Or 7 Rounds, Tire Him Out Then Pick Him Off
Never Thought I Would Admit That!

Ok... Mundine is faster, Green has the power we all know that. I cant see mundine winning by ko, if he does i will be shocked. His greatest chance is 12 round UD. As for Green.. he has looked a much lessor fighter after loosing the 2nd time against beyer. I of course being an aussie felt the frustration of Greens first attempt at the world title when he was DQ, i really thought he was going to hand beyer his arse that night. In any case, here is what my 2 possible outcomes are for the green v mundine bout. If mundine keeps his concentration up, gets in and out with his fast hands and can do it for the entire 12 rounds.. then he wins UD. If he gets careless, decides standing infront of Green would be fun or just plain old stands there, then Green by KO. If Mundine wants this fight he can win it, if Green has patience he can take it... i think it will be a great fight and as a fan of all australian boxers i will look to enjoy this bout very much.

                    Re

Ok guys hello and heres my first post .

Reading this entire thread a few pts need to pointed out .

Has Danny got a solid chin , ask Heavyweight Champ James Toney , he said he took some very good shots during there spar and was suprised with his resilance , I saw a video of the spar and it was heavy duty and Danny held his own , with a then Heavyweight world champion !!

Green was as flat as a tack in the second Beyer fight , look at his body in that fight and look at it now , it was a bad prep with lots of turmoil in the camp , and he still nearly nailed Beyer in the last round !

Green is no longer with Jeff Fenech and is trained by Cuban wiz Ismael Salas ( Joel Casamaore fame ) , his last two fights are about learning new things with a complete new camp and he is boxing very nice getting back too the good tech fighter he was in the amatures , he has been in the USA training for weeks and you will see a very professionaly turned out fighter come the 19th .

Mundine has fought 4 world class fighters and been beaten by 3 of them , dropped by one , KOed by another and beaton easy by Kessler , the one he beat Echols was gun shot 8wks prior , came to Aus , was sent back home a few days out and then brought back again , how did the fight go Mundine ran like a girl all night , in a 26ft ring , from an old washed up fighter .

Mundine has no heart and Green will test it serverly , Siacca got to him no problems so I dont see why Green carnt , he is a much better fighter than Siacca , the longer this fight goes the more in Dannys bag it will be .

Mundine had trouble with Kesslers hight which is the same as Greens , Danny is a deep game fighter and will take Anthony into the trenches ,, Green round 10 KO .

                    Rod

Question... Why is this fight on a Wednesday night??? I feel sorry for Mundine even here in New Zealand he gets the **** ripped out of him lol...

Both fighters have fought big fights, Mundine going 12 rounds with Kessler.

Green knocked down Beyer in the 12th on route to his MD loss.

Come April 19th I think Green will just be too slick for Mundine.
