This is just a rumor that was in Boxing News on Friday, would be great if it happened but I could see it being on Box Office again

Ain't Haye signed a deal with Sky for 3 fights?

if it is on ITV then it will benefit Haye in the long run. It will atract him a new crowd and if he knocks out Ruiz in style gain alot of fans. It's about time ITV or the BBC shown an heavyweight title fight. I can see it gettin around 8million viewers.

i think it would be hard to sell the fight against Ruiz just because if you know anything about boxing you know that Ruiz will try and drag it out for 12 rounds of uneventful action

let's hope Haye takes him apart in spectacular fashion
Good point. But once a fighter becomes popular, it doesn't really matter who he fights, fans will want to see him. And given that he got a million buys in his last fight, I'm sure Haye can promote the fight enough to get half that against Ruiz. It's all in the marketing.

That would draw in so many viewers, but i reckon it's a sky jobby myself considering the success of Valuev.

Agreed. Haye wouldn't make as much for the fight, but the extra exposure would more than make up for that in due course. Haye is a very marketable guy, but only if a wider public knows who he is.. and it isn't them that pay ?5 for the PPVs.

I can't see this happening. Haye has had so much press and TV appearances since beating Valuev that he'll do at least 500,000 PPV's against Ruiz and he'd probably rather the money from that than 10 millions viewers on ITV. If they can sell Khan on Box Office then Haye-Ruiz is a cert.

I'm still amazed he did 1m PPV's for Valuev. That 1m might not bite again given how dull that fight actually was. No way is he selling anywhere near 1m for Ruiz, 300k max I'd guess. Unless he fights a Klitschko that PPV number can only go down. And fighting on regular Sky is maybe 3m tops, fighting on ITV he might pull 8/9m.
