I have been re-visiting Frazier. And I have actually changed my mind.

I think Dempsey stops him.

True, Frazier carries A LOT more size. And he had a greater career.

But watching the film, I don't know if that size is enough. Dempsey takes off like a rocket ship, while Joe needed to let the engine warm-up first.

I don't think Frazier's size makes much of a difference, and lesser punchers than Dempsey hurt Joe early.

Even IF Joe survives, Dempsey was girtier and craftier than Bonavena. SMaller, but more evasive and cagier. But again, I think this one is done inside of 5 rounds. Frazier's size simply means he that prolonged of a beating, instead of getting laid out in the opening stanza.

I am wondering why the people picking Frazier by KO aren't explaining their pick.

He wasn't know for KO power. He shared the ring with Bonavena for 30 rounds and never got a KO.

One of the tougher fights to forecast. One thing that does seem crystal clear is that Dempsey will have to win early to win at all. Once Joe is chugging and warmed up he has more stamina than a plow horse. This might happen as Dempsey begins to tire and slow.
