Not being a defensive genius does not make a man easy to hit, Who-d-knee. Rock was not a defensive genius and was not easy to hit either. You'll turn him into Roy Jones. given half a chance. I have seen you operate.

Neither one is exactly a genius at evasiveness. It is a fight both men would probably love, as really they are cut from the same mold of brawler.

marciano was harder to hit on the inside, on the outside he'd practically try to bump into your jab. that's how ezzard charles busted rocky's nose and face up, blistering straight jabs and right hands on the outside. chuvalo doesn't fight like this, so it's going to be more of stand and trade type deal. i actually think rocky's defensive skills on the inside are better than chuvalo's, but nowhere near roy jones, lol. rocky could slip punches on the inside, if only he'd learned how to slip the jab, lol. they would be trading hard right hands and left hooks, i think somehow rocco would find a way to win

if lyle comes in his best condition and boxes, he has a chance to drop rocky early but i agree with the other guy who said rocky gets up and stops him late.

No one is indicating that Marciano was a “boxer”. He was a slugger with excellent ability to ward off counter punches due to his weave, low crouch and tendency to follow through with his shots taking him out of punching range.

Walcott and Charles were sharpshooters but they looked to hit Rocky much more than actually hit him.

Of course Rocky is better defensively than George. Maybe because Chuvalo does not seem to even bother with defense.

I knew a street fighter who like George was nearly impossible to hurt. He always let his opponents hit him first. He said he would feel awful bad if he hit them first and still lost, so he let them strike first, and never lost anyway that I know of.

Almost sounds like some of Kimbo Slice's street fights.

This guy was probably as naturally strong as a man can get for his size, which was about 5' 10" and 200 lbs. He never worked out a day in his life and absolutely had more muscle definition than either Charles Atlas or Joe Weider, the two famous musclemen of the day. When this guy doubled up his wrist a muscle the full size of a marble popped up under the skin. I have been looking for that muscle on someone else for a long time, but have never found another instance. He said he got it from milking cows by hand for about a year as a young teenager when he worked on a dairy.

Why would you insult a man's muscle that way?

Not judging. Just offering another possibility of how one's arm muscles might be built up.
