Talk about a category impossible to judge! Speed we can judge, power we can even judge somewhat. What are the criteria? Couldn't I make a case that Chuvalo who was never down against some of the biggest punchers ever had the best balance of all?
There is a tendency to confuse fluid movement with balance when judging this category. One does not have to flow gracefully to display exceptional balance. Could we actually say with any confidence that SRL had better balance than Hank Armstrong just because Leonard was a fluid mover and Armstrong attacked coming straight forward?
