The fact Ali faced both these murderous punchers and was never stopped just shows the kind of physical and mental toughness he had. Imagine Foreman or Shavers throwing bombs at you, like actually imagine it. Incredible fighter, truly the greatest.

Foreman did get to Ali once and both fighters sensed it b t Ali conned him. Shavers however was more visible as he hit ali with a cleaner shot. Ali had incredible determination that was even on display against holmes when he clearly had medical problems.

Also, Ali used different tactics, he lay on the ropes and his still very good reflexes allowed him to sway with the punches. Against Shavers, he was far slower and his reflexes were all but shot, it's his final true great moment of grit and determination. It wasn't Ali's skill that allowed him to beat Shavers or even his brains, it was his grit, heart and the greatest chin ever.

Georges punches start slow but boy do they have a lot of speed by the time they reach impact, the slow mo in that video really allows you to see that. Amazing how complex the game is.
