Gerald McClellan interview

Yeah, I had seen that. So, so sad. Truth be told, stories like Gerald's and Michael Watson's (etc.) make me question myself about liking the sport of boxing as I have for so many years. My daughter told me today that she doesn't like boxing (b/c of how brutal it is), and I once again hoped I wasn't doing something wrong by being a fan.

Sport
It's a Sport, a dangerous sport that allows many a chance to make a living, if they do it right and don't waste what they get paid like many, but it's like any other sport or athletes, it's dangerous, Football for one, but yet it's the most popular sport going and those guys suffer the rest of their lives, I saw a story on Jim Otto former Raiders Center, he could barely put his own pants on, he had to lean up and on the bed or a chair or something, then still struggle to do it by himself, he is in pain 24/7 but said he would do it all over again, but only maybe retired a lot sooner, and not play such along career.
But the Sport of Boxing needs more help, to help the fighters, before during and after a career, they need to know more of the risks as many don't even think of it, they need help during to help with possible injuries like McClellan he complained of headaches, migraines and other things up to 6 months before the Benn Fight, there should be more help for such situations, they need to know they have a place to report such symptoms so someone can say get checked or you won't fight your next fight, we will get you checked and help if needed.

Warning: I am about to talk more ****, for those of you who do not like it. Turn away now or enter at your own risk. I owe you nothing, do not forget that. I gave you a free warning. Stay out if you are one of those numerous posters who would like to foam over what follows because you think the truth is sinful or the dead should not be mentioned unfavorably.
People should understand who it is they are pouring their little hearts out for. The world was a little safer place once McClellan was stuck in his wheelchair. This fine man used to buy puppies so he could put them in with his fighting dogs, who killed them immediately, to his great satisfaction. Mangling the puppies and getting the taste for blood was good for their fighting ability, he thought.
He took his new sports car and used it to have the kind of blast that made him feel good. He ran over flamingo after flamingo in the driveway of a Florida hotel where he was staying. Yippee!
Now, sob on. Sorry to interrupt you.
