    Mark "Too Sharp" Johnson

I was very happy "Too sharp" was inducted into the hall of fame, but i am very partial to Johnson having witnessed this great boxer in his absolute prime fighting at the Great Western Forum in Inglewood, California.
The man could do it all he could box your ears off or could **** on the inside with equal ability, and his face never changed, simply a cold and proficient professional.
I never missed a fight at The Great Western Forum for about 10 years and "Too Sharp" and Juan Manuel Marquez are the best fighters that i ever saw at that historic venue.
What are your thoughts on the Sharp one?

IMO, Johnson was an excellent fighter and is a deserving member of the HOF. I'm not sure that everyone feels that way though.

Too bad he didn't get that fight with Johnny Tapia at super flyweight.

He gets plenty of stick for not having many big names on his resume but what can you do when you're being avoided..

He passes the McGuigan Test easily.

So do about 1,000 other undeserving fighters that shouldn't be a basis to accept the likes of Mark Johnson into the HOF.

Everytime I see an undeserving fighter considered for the HOF I always without fail see someone say "well mcGuigans in so they should be in"

And what kind of backwards reasoning is that? Just because one undeserving fighter is in the HOF we should accept everyone of that caliber? Lets just throw them all in. After all "McGuigans in". Lets throw Zab Judah in. Ill go one further, lets throw John Ruiz in. If McGuigans in then they can be in.

Why not say "how about we learn the HOF made a huge error letting McGuigan and people of his caliber should by be inducted" and instead of accepting people of his caliber in on the basis that they are as undeserving as he is.

I was at the Forum fights just about every week for a very long time. You know the section they used to rope off for the ring card girls? I used to sit just off the corner of that for quite a while. before that, I sat in the second row of the first level up, R or S was the section.
I have always said that Mark Johnson was the loudest body puncher I have ever seen fight.
