    The Weaver Triplets

    Floyd, Lloyd, and Troy:

I've only seen one fight of Floyd's and one fight of Troy's. None of Lloyd. I read a few years ago that they were all brought in to spar with Hagler in preparation for Leonard.

    1. Are these guys the only triplets in history to have fought professionally?

    2. Anyone know anything interesting about them, and how they all wound up as pro fighters?

As to how they wound up as fighters, I assume that you already knew that older brother Michael was a perennial top contender and former title holder. So I guess they are from a boxing family.

Mike Weaver? didn't he fight Larry Holmes for the title and wasn't he nicknamed Hercules at one point?

Mike also pulled off a terrific come-from-behind upset vs. John Tate.

I remembering a local TV ad here in New York for a card he was on in MSG towards the tail end of his career.

I seen a lot of Troy Weaver's fights. He was dangerous in the opening round.
He was on some of the old Forum cards too.

I was a fan of Mike Weaver and his career. I wasn't always, but he earned it.
