I think he deserves a look. He fought in an era of mostly one champ per division. Lossing to joe brown and emile griffith is no disgrace. I think he campaiged as a lightweight when he struggled to make weight which is opposite of his buddy willie pastrano who fought many heaveyweight bouts but won a title at light heavey.
WOW hate to say I forgot about this terrific little fighter! I don't see why not he can't be ucomfortable in with the HoF'ers hell he fought a few!!! researched; won 106 (19) lost 23 (7) draw 6==1135 total rounds!

.............16 yrs a pro, these fellows ALL came to win and as you can see theres HoF and ATG on his record! This little guy didn't have a big punch but he was clever as hell and a true crowd pleaser!!!! Open the doors and let him in! Ray.
Good fighter but he falls short in my opinion. Than again I think the HOF should be reserved for the best of the best and there are several fighters in that I think don't belong.

That pretty much happens in every sport though, doesn't it? I mean, not many fans consider Bert Blyleven a Hall of Famer, yet he got into the baseball Hall of Fame. But yeah, Hall of Fame should be best of the best and considered a no brainer. If you even have to think about it for more than 2 seconds, that guy shouldn't go in.
As for this Dupas guy, I'll take your word for it.
