it was pretty shocking to see how tentative Jones was VS an old version of McCallum

I like McCallum's chances at MW

Its hard to answer. In my opinion at MW Jones had not yet reached his prime and a MW McCallum was past his. In my opinion at MW there are few fighters I would pick to beat RRJ and McCallum isn't one of them

McCallum would be a tough competitive opponent for the first half of the fight but at some point Roy's speed would kick in and he would control the second half out scoring McCallum using flashy combinations

I always thought that Roy carried McCallum to the distance out of respect. Just the impression I got watching it.

Roy was tentative but he still shut McCallum out which no one had ever come close to doing.

Mike McCallum is hands down one of my favorites ever, but....

He wouldn't have troubled Roy at 160. Mike had slowed down a bit at 160 and he needed something to work off of, and Roy wouldn't have given it to him. Roy would hit him with hard flurries and step away and Mike wouldn't want to run into that stuff too much.

                Roy by boring, easy decision.

Yeah I always got that feeling myself. It's especially interesting considering Toney had such a great respect for Mike as well. McCallum was a class act, great fighter.

???? If anything his absolute apex was at 160 after getting out boxed by Kalambay and he changed his style to become more of a patient counter puncher. Then he went on arguable the greatest title reign in the history of modern boxing when he beat Collins, Watson, Graham, Kalambay and had his 2 fights with Toney
