Joe Gans vs Bob Fitzsimmons?

Both of these fighters are lurking around 10 on my ATG list but, who do you rank higher?

Fitzsimmons for sure. I just find his record incredible. To win 160lb, 175lb & HW Titles when there was only ONE title is really something.

Add to that he was no more than a Modern Day Super Middleweight when he won the HW title and he then went down to LHW at 40 and got that title.

Man was just a freak of nature. TOP 10 ATG for sure!

I must go with the three division Champ..... Fitzsimmons wins,... but Gans is lurking around, that's for sure. Joe Gans was a rare specimen,.... the complete fighter. Fitzsimmons has the edge because of him being a blacksmith,... therefore invincible at his weight,.. but there is another awesome blacksmith MW.......... no prizes for naming him... anybody who doesn't know this name is obviously a newcomer..... also known as an amateur.
