Saddler or Arguello: Who do you rate higher?

Both surely p4p ATGs on your lists. Who rates higher and why? Where do they rate, if you want to throw that in too, as well as the company they're keeping around that ranking, for you. Poll to come.

Heh. I really like the turnaround time on this forum.

          Saddler just shades it imo.

10 votes so far and nobody voted either man "by far". That means we should have some interesting discussion...Maybe?

Saddler had 144 wins against top competition. His record wasn't built up fighting in small towns against stiffs either. In 162 fights he was only stopped once (in his second pro fight). You're not disrespecting Arguello (or almost anyone else) if you list Saddler higher all time.

I'd really love to say Arguello but after watching saddler and Pep fights, I just can't. But it's a razor thin margin.

It's close but I have to go with Saddler based on many more fights with only one stoppage loss. And the fact that he fought during an era when there was one undisputed champion in each division. Not the fractured WBA and WBC.
