No, I only read the Richard Bak, but I would be interested in checking out other bios of him. I know there are a few.

I've read the one by the Rust's and its good, but I wouldn't call it great, Than again I am a huge fan of Louis and have read almost everything I've found about him so it may be a bit harder to impress me with a book compared to other boxers and boxing figures I knew much less about, but was very impressed when reading their biographies.

Maybe I'll check it out. I have to say the Bak bio is a very fascinating read and I learned a lot from Louis from reading it. It's good enough that I pull it out once in awhile to reread and I am probably due for another read. It's got a good appendix showing what he made for each fight that's interesting. There is another book that I read, Beyond Glory: Joe Louis Vs. Max Schmelling, and a World on the Brink by David Margolick that is a great book. Not a bio but a good description of the fights between them and the background surrounding the fights.

Great read, respect, I definitely agree with a case being made that Louis is the heavyweight GOAT or placing at least in top 3 without a doubt.

I have him at #2 but don't quibble if someone has him #1: I think him and Ali are so close it's hard to pick.
