Your scorecard: 1986 bout between Mike Tyson and Quick Tillis

This fight was fought under the round scoring system, not a 10 or 5 point must system.

I had the fight as a draw- 5 rounds to 5, but perhaps I'm a slight bit subconsciously biased as I despise Mike Tyson (a lot).

As it was, Tyson was up 6-4 on two of the cards and 8-2 on the other.

To me, this was the first fight in which it was proven that Tyson was by no means invincible (there's that subconscious bias again).

It was the first time Tyson showed any flaws, but he still did win 6 or 7 rounds.

I don't remember my scoring when I watched it live but it was very close. At the time we were used to watching Tyson mow down heavies on his way up the ranks. I remember thinking before the fight that it wouldn't be much of a fight after watching Tillis' career and at the end I was glued to the tv waiting to hear the scorecards. I don't remember if it was the Ring or another magazine that questioned the decision. I guess I'll have to dig the fight out and watch it again.

The most ridiculous thing here is the TS sig. "list of great hw champs Tyson beat in their prime". Ali was the greatest, what great HW did he beat in their prime. Liston wasn't great. Frazier beat Ali the first time and second fight was after Frazier was KO'd by Foreman. Was Foreman great? lol No way. What Great champ did Marciano beat in their prime. What about Holmes? The fact is its very rare for there to be two HW champs in their prime at the same time. Ali lost to Frazier when Frazier was in his prime and Ali was great. Does that make Frazier better than Ali? lol Get rid of the sig.

Ali's beaten six IBHOF members... and what do Ali, Marciano, or Holmes have to do with my sig?

Apart from Muhammad Ali, there isnt any other boxer who can compete with Tyson in his prime. Tyson clearly won the decison against Tillis only a ****** would score this fight a draw.
