Holmes was my instintive pick, followed by Liston. (Considering my top 2, that says somethinf about what I think of jabs???). Thinking more about it, I am tempted to say Lewis.

I am curious of what makes you rule out Liston, Dempsey and Jeffrey. (If you already wrote about this in the thread, just tell me I will go back and read it later since I plan to read all posts tomorrow)

Have to give Marciano his respect here, he was undefeated and it would not be easy for anyone to keep Marciano off for an entire fight.

edit: for the posters who arent crying ******* who think people should be pistol whipped over an opinion. jack johnson has wins over sam langford, stanley ketchel, jim jeffries, and bob fitzsimmons. i dont see how anyone can say he doesnt have a phenomenal resume.
He have Jack rated three. Only people who don't know about his career would laugh at that. They may disagree but it's not a laughable opinion to have.

Why is Tyson ahead of Lewis who's not even in that list.

I think I have Sonny ranked about 7th or 8th. Jeffries, as good as he was, just didn't have the longevity for me to put him in the top 10. Dempsey I think I have at 11. Very underrated in the skills department, but he just didn't defend the title enough. These are just my opinions at the moment and are subject to change the more I learn about these guys their era's and their competition.
