When Tyson KO'ed Holmes he had been away from the ring for about 2 years. He was completely inactive for those two years (he had made up his mind to quit boxing) and foolishly fought Tyson with NO tune up fight. That's how unimpressed he was with Tyson's so called awesome skills, that he staged a comeback for the sole purpose of beating him. It was incredibly ****** on his part, and I believe the older Holmes who beat Mercer in the 90's would have actually performed better than the one who was embarassed versus Tyson. Not only did Tyson beat an old faded Holmes, but it was a rusty old faded Holmes.

BTW, you owe Ali an apology for the Berbick comment. Absolutely shameless and misleading.

the 91 second "war" was by far his most impressive win. spinks was someone everybody felt was the only man who had some kind of chance against tyson. and iron mike knocked him cold.

The biggest win was probably over Larry Holmes, for Holmes was the best boxer Tyson fought. Though Holmes was old, washed-up, and past his prime.

Good topic. Tyson's most impressive win, I think is when he

captured the heavyweight title by knocking,I mean destroying

Trevor Berbick. Now listen up, all heavyweights fighting today,

thats how you take the title. Tyson went in there, like Ali , and

took what belonged to him, the heavyweight championship belt.

When you go in there and destroy your opponent by knocking him

out their is no dis*****g your win.
