Watch Tommy Loughran on that video the Great A posted where he's fighting Braddock. He's got an answer for everything Braddock does. Braddock takes action, Loughran has the counter action for it, and he's quick about it too.
Loughran's probably the most technical fighter I've seen. To have beaten all the guys he did, with very little hitting power, that's so impressive. And on film you can see his remarkable degree of skill with your own eyes.
Pep is still one of the great Masters of Boxing! His movement alone is enough to confuss opponents let alone his feints and counter traps!
Benny Leonard is another Master Technician!
Salvador Sanchez was one of the best "thinkers" I've ever seen. He was so young to be able to manavuer himslf in postion to work then out manavuer his opponents to not get hit!
As Pep used to preach "hit and not get hit"
and as I say "chess, with consequences"!
And true to my beliefs Sugar Ray Robinson did more things right than any other fighter in history! Perfect body and mind and the will to win!! Ray
